Female Hair Advancement
An unusually prominent forehead can be a source of ongoing distress for many women, as it is often perceived as a masculinising or ageing feature. Some women are born with a naturally high forehead, while others develop a receding hairline later in life.
In females, a receding hairline is most commonly associated with frontal fibrosing alopecia. Although relatively rare, this condition predominantly affects postmenopausal women. Contributing factors may include hormonal imbalances, elevated testosterone levels, the use of certain birth control pills, autoimmune conditions, trauma, or tumours.
